About Us
Cogram is an LLM-based productivity platform for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. Our product automates a growing number of AEC workflows such as meeting notes, site visits, mail management, project administration, and RFP bidding. We’re backed by Y Combinator and other world-leading investors and are growing fast and sustainably. We believe that a small, winning team can achieve outsize results—especially in the age of AI—and consistently beat competitors 100x our size.
We’re big believers in a remote-first culture and in diverse teams so we encourage anyone to apply—even if your experience doesn’t check every box. At Cogram, you have an unprecedented opportunity to shape the future of human–AI collaboration within a clearly defined vertical. If that sounds interesting we’d love to hear from you.
Job description
We’re looking for a Product Engineer / AI Operator who can comfortably drop in anywhere across the product cycle—from defining a feature to deploying it in production. You’ll pair engineering expertise with an instinct and openness to use AI tools as an extension of your workflow. You can fill in the blanks when specs are thin, and you take full ownership of a task from start to finish. When a problem pushes you into unfamiliar territory, you figure it out and keep moving.
Key Responsibilities
- Ship end-to-end features: Design, build, test, and launch new functionality and improvements.
- Embrace AI: Use AI coding tools and agents throughout design, development, testing, documentation, and operations.
- Own quality: Write clean, well-documented code, maintain sensible tests, and review PRs to keep standards high.
- Mentor and multiply: Share AI-driven workflows, pair with teammates, and spread learnings across the team.
- Collaborate across functions: Work with product, design, and engineering to enhance user experience and system performance.
- Support where needed: Handle tasks ranging from infrastructure tweaks to customer support.
Qualifications
-
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years building production software, with strength in Python (FastAPI, async, distributed systems) and solid JavaScript/TypeScript/React.
- Proven record of shipping and owning customer-facing features in a fast-moving team.
- Habitual power-user of AI dev tooling.
- Comfortable diving into unfamiliar domains—be that cloud ops, CI pipelines, mobile, or a gnarly customer workflow.
- Excellent written & verbal communication; you can explain trade-offs to engineers and non-engineers alike.
-
Desirable, but not strictly required:
- Experience working with LLMs.
- React Native / Expo.
- Cloud Ops (AWS, Azure), Terraform.
- AEC industry exposure–or curiosity to learn fast.
Benefits
- Fully remote work environment with three offsites per year in different places around the world
- Competitive pay and generous stock-options package
- 38 paid days off annually (26 personal days, 12 German public holidays)
- Personal development stipend to help you grow
Our stack: React / Typescript frontend, React Native / Expo iOS and Android apps, Python backend (FastAPI / pydantic / sqlalchemy), Postgres, Redis, and IaC via Terraform, deployed on AWS & Azure.
At Cogram, we’re looking for people with curiosity, ambition and compassion. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and passion will stand out—and set you apart—especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns or you have overcome personal challenges. We welcome diverse perspectives and people who think rigorously and aren't afraid to challenge assumptions. Come join us.
